Dr. Raghavendra Babu is currently working as Senior Consultant & Director – Gastrointestinal & HPB Oncology at Cytecare Cancer Hospital. He completed his MBBS at Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute. He then went on to do his MS in General Surgery from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi and worked as a senior resident in General Surgery at the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences. He went on to do his MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology from the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.
After completing his academics, Dr. Raghavendra Babu worked in the United Kingdom in Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic, and Transplant Surgery and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Training in HPB Surgery and Transplantation from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. He was previously associated with HCG Cancer Hospital, Bengaluru, as the Head of Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic, and Transplant Surgery.
